Kelly and John
A Rustic Inspired Massachusetts Barn Affair | A Wright-Locke Farm Wedding
If you are hoping to have a rustic wedding of your own one day, or just love the idea of a barn-styled wedding – this is the blog post for you. Kelly and John wanted to keep their day simple, yet beautiful. They chose to host their big day at the Wright-Locke Farm in Winchester, MA. This 380 year old organic farm is a focal point in New England life as it has been doing much to conserve the land over the past few decades. In other words, it is the perfect summer or fall venue for hosting a country-themed wedding.
Ceremony and Reception
What a gorgeous day this turned out to be! Kelly and John were fortunate to enjoy their June wedding amongst their closest family and friends. As this couple values their family more than anything (together they have six children and one grandchild) – they of course needed to include them in the wedding as much as possible. Both the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom officiated the ceremony (HOW COOL IS THAT?!) under a tree on a hill at the farm. Kelly and John’s sisters each gave beautiful readings and John’s brother sang an acoustic rendition of “All of Me” by John Legend.
After the couple exchanged their “I Do’s” – it was time for everyone to celebrate! Yes, that is right – you saw a Taco Truck!!! (Best idea in the history of ever). The white lights that hung in the barn set the mood for a wonderful evening of dining, drinking, and dancing. The long farmers tables that were decorated with a gray table runner and glass vases of bright pink peonies were PERFECT for this affair.
Kelly and John, thank you so much for letting us share your fabulous day with you and capture your special moments. Much love and happiness to you both!
