Big hearted dog lovers from the Greater Boston area celebrated alongside adoptable dogs and rescuers from across the world on September 22, 2016 with Last Hope K9 Rescue.
The fourth annual Heaven Can Wait Gala was held at Royale, in the heart of boston’s theatre district… VIP Sponsors such as FMC Ice Sports and Tito’s Vodka, New England Recycling and A Fox and Hound’s Pet Care & RSM were there to celebrate alongside Last Hope K9 award winners Mr & Mrs Neil Lambert , Lori Privitt , Moose Crew, & Crate Escape.
Man thanks to all of our friends at Crate Escape and A Fox & Hound Pet Care & RSM
Here is the story of Moose, a dog who spent almost five years in a shelter in St. John. He was adopted by a fantastic family in Massachusetts and Last Hope K9 helped make it happen.

THE HUGEST thank you goes out to Alex Monahan and Manda Carco, who along with the many other Last hope K9 volunteers made this gala such a huge success.
LHK9 is a 501(c)(3) all-breed rescue dedicated to saving abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters throughout the United States. We don’t discriminate on the basis of age, pre-existing medical conditions, or breed. Every animal deserves to know love and we are committed to working toward that goal.
As the literal “last hope” of every animal we serve, we work methodically to place each of our dogs within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their FURever home or their foster home, the gateway to their forever home. As we do not have a physical shelter, our dogs are placed in supportive foster homes where they are nurtured, trained, and loved. We strive to ensure that all of our adoption and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved.
LHK9 also seeks to educate the communities in which we work. Whether it be about spay and neuter programs, the importance of preventatives, or anti-breed legislation, we actively work to inform the public about these important topics.
Since our establishment in March 2012, LHK9 has found FURever homes for over 4,100 dogs and we could not do this work without amazing people like you!
Please adopt, foster, donate, advocate, and educate. One person can make a difference! You can make a difference.
